Dr. Williams and Dr. Weiss have extensive experience providing minimally invasive gynecologic surgical procedures to diagnose and address a variety of conditions. Minimally invasive surgical techniques have the benefit of allowing the patient to return to normal activities much faster while experiencing less pain and a quicker recovery time. They can also minimize the risk of certain complications, lessen hospital stays and produce less scarring than traditional “open” surgical procedures.  Two primary methods of conducting minimally invasive surgery include laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, both of which avoid the need for a large incision and may potentially be performed on an out-patient basis.

Depending on the patient’s specific condition, minimally invasive techniques may be used to remove ovarian cysts, perform a hysterectomy or tubal ligation, and diagnose and treat conditions such as endometriosis, infertility, unexplained abdominal pain, pelvic inflammatory disease, a malignancy, uterine fibroids and others. At East Pasco Women’s Care, our doctors may utilize minimally invasive techniques for purposes of the following:

  • Extraction of the ovaries, ovarian cysts or adhesions
  • Hysterectomy
  • Incontinence treatment
  • Endometrial ablation
  • Prolapsed organ treatment
  • Pelvic relaxation disorder
